Path Loss Prediction Model for Propagating Radio Wave in Woodland

This paper presents new empirical prediction models for loss estimation in forest environment. Experimental investigations were carried out on groups of trees form woodland and lines at SHF band under different operational contexts. In the experimentations, two major measurement geometries (propagation “into” propagation “inside” forest) adopted site to basis. Results from all sites displayed a common trend, that they showed persistent decay signal power with depth vegetation which is dependent geometries.
 Using “Power Law” theory, model has been proposed each scenario using parametric equations are line general formulations ITU-R models. These tested standard gave statistical adherence fitted model.
